Marshawn Lynch's Skittles Sneakers Give Him Superpowers

Before Saturday, no one had rushed for 100 yards against the 49ers defense, and no one had run for a touchdown against the 49ers defense. Before Saturday, nobody had worn Skittles sneakers against the 49ers defense. Correlation is not necessarily causation, but this time it totally was, say scienticians.

Lynch had a robust 5.1 yards per carry and a 4-yard score (and might have had another if not for a bizarre broken play on 3rd and goal from the 1). His secret? Skittles in the belly and on the feet. Nike rigged up a special pair of Skittles colorway Talons for Lynch to wear on Saturday, and off he went. But the traditional Skittles shower in the end zone was no substitute for a W.

"We lost. Thanks y'all. I appreciate it," Lynch said.
