McDonald's Has 10 Million Pounds Of Unsold Mighty Wings
This fall, McDonald's introduced Mighty Wings, those seasoning sticks vaguely flavored like chicken. Remember those commercials with Joe Flacco and Colin Kaepernick? They threw footballs for wings! What a world! Anyway, the promotion started with an inventory of 50 million pounds of wings, and there are still 10 million left in frozen storage.
The original promotion's over, but because 10 million pounds of wings sitting in various freezers would be a financial loss—and depressing as hell—McDonald's will hold another promotion at some point with discounted wings, in an attempt to offload the rest of those goddamn sodium popsicles.
Another possibility: Why not give some of the 10 million pounds to Flacco? He seems to be a wing fanatic, judging by his Twitter:
See? A #GameChanger. He loves them!
