Midwestern Guy Wants You To Doubt Adrian Beltre Because He's Dominican

Fox Sports guy Doug Gottlieb has a big wet blanket for anyone excited about Adrian Beltre’s 3000th hit: Did you know that Beltre is Dominican??? Fucked up, but true.

Gottlieb first showed his ass on Twitter yesterday with a troll-ish but not entirely race-baiting take.

People— including a cadre of Beltre’s current and former teammates—called Gottlieb a dingus, and that could and should very well have been that, had he not seized his moment to broadcast some even stronger handwringing over Beltre’s heritage. According to a radio spot Gottlieb did yesterday, Beltre, who’s never tested positive for anything, is worthy of intense fan scrutiny because, well, Dominicans be doping.
