MLB Suspends Chase Utley From Games 3 & 4 Of NLDS (UPDATE)
Per a statement from the MLB Communications, Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley has been suspended for Games 3 and 4 of the NLDS for his vicious slide that broke Ruben Tejada’s leg last night.
The full statement is below:
This suspension is notable because both the umpires and Torre agree that Utley was clearly in the wrong and because of the suggestion that MLB will be moving to add better protections for middle infielders.
