Multiple Ejections After Massive Brawl Between Giants And Nationals

Hunter Strickland drilled Bryce Harper with an eighth-inning pitch that sparked a brouhaha between the Giants and Nationals today in San Francisco.

Harper immediately headed toward the mound to initiate fisticuffs with Strickland, appearing to attempt—but fail—to hit the pitcher with his helmet. This led both benches to immediately empty with players shoving and tackling each other. Jeff Samardzija played a prominent role in the donnybrook.
