NBA Roundup: Welcome Our Cleveland Cavalier Overlords
This image was lost some time after publication, but you can still view it [object Object] . Notes on Monday's games in the National Basketball Association:
• Cleveland Rocks. Just how good are the Cavaliers? We have a feeling that they're better than you and we think they are. The way that LeBron James can take over a game down the stretch is pretty terrifying. James and Damon Jones had 29 points apiece, leading Cleveland over the New York Knicks 102-96 Monday night, Cleveland has won three straight. Jones had 24 of his points in the first half. The Knicks still haven't won a home game.
• King Of The Hill. Grant Hill's layup with 1:30 remaining clinched it and delighted coach Brian Hill, as the Magic topped the Celtics 92-89.
• Use The Force. We've missed the pick and roll since Karl Malone and John Stockton retired. Seattle's Luke Ridnour had the high pick-and-roll working for a career-high 32 points on Monday, in the Sonics' 119-113 win over the Nets. It was Seattle's third straight win.
