Official Graph Proves That Steve Nash May Be Missing A Low-Post Presence This Season
Hoopism.com has put together a nice interactive feature with weighted graphs showing who passed where in the 2009-2010 NBA season. It may not shock you to see that Nash had a certain connection with Amar'e Stoudamire last year.
The site allows you to click through all 30 NBA teams, and to then drag a given player around to see the real spread of his assists. And if you right-click on a player, thereby removing his assists from the picture, you can really plainly see just how valuable a certain point guard might be to his respective team. Take Rajon Rondo's dimes out of the 2009-2010 Boston Celtics, for example, and the Big Three begin to look a little less threatening. Especially, you know, with Scalabrine playing for the Bulls this season.
