Ole Miss Pitcher Gifts Opponent Game-Tying Runs After Momentarily Forgetting How To Throw A Baseball
credits: Butch Dill | source: [object Object] Ole Miss had a golden opportunity to take a 3-1 lead into the ninth inning of today’s SEC Tournament elimination game against Georgia. Instead, pitcher Parker Caracci flubbed what should have been the most routine possible toss home and allowed Georgia to score two runs, tying the game and eventually sending it to extra innings. Perhaps the worst part is that he never should have thrown home in the first place, as the only force-out was at first base. Jon Lester, eat your heart out.
Georgia took a 10th-inning lead with L.J. Talley’s home run, but Ole Miss won thanks to a walkoff double, so thankfully Caracci did not cost his team the game with his unfortunate boo-boo.
