One Alleged Vandal Of Clemson's Special Rock Arrested
Clemson University police announced today that they arrested 18-year-old Micah Rogers of Pisgah Forest, N.C., for the vandalism done to Howard's Rock earlier this month. Rogers is accused of breaking the glass case that holds the rock and chipping off a chunk of it. There is no indication how this was done.
Surveillance footage and a witness helped lead police to Rogers. He's been charged with one felony count of malicious injury to personal property and one misdemeanor count of trespassing. Rogers was released after posting bail of more than $5,000. He also allegedly had help:
[Rogers] has no academic affiliation with Clemson, according to [Capt. Eric] Hendricks, but does own Tigers memorabilia, including a sticker on the truck spotted at the scene. Hendricks called the investigation "ongoing," as the portion of the rock has yet to be discovered and there may be other arrests coming.
Guess that settles that. Now we know Clemson fans are monsters who have no respect for the traditions Clemson fans hold dear.
