Paul Pierce Gets Massage, Busts Out At World Series Of Poker
New Brooklyn Net Paul Pierce decided to spend part of his summer vacation competing in this year's World Series of Poker this weekend, taking part in the $10,000 pot limit Omaha tournament. Good idea, right? We know he's good for the entry fee, and it sounds like a fun, exciting event to take part in. With a little well-timed skill and luck, The Truth could even finish in the money, maybe.
It seemed to start off well enough for him. Pierce advanced to the second day of the event, and ESPN poker guy Andrew Feldman, who was tweeting and photographing the event, gifted the internet the photo of the small forward looking positively cozy in the Rio.

Four short hours later, though, Feldman had an update for us:
Just passed @paulpierce34 walking out of the Rio. He's been eliminated from the PLO event.

He finished out of the money, is what we all probably expected, if not what we hoped. God willing, though, Pierce will be able to make a full, speedy financial recovery.
