Barry Dunning Jr. scored 23 points to help host Pitt end a three-game losing streak with a 103-63 nonconference win over Binghamton on Wednesday night.

Brandin Cummings added 17 points and Nojus Indrusaitis had 16 for Pitt (6-6), which never trailed while shooting 62.1% from the field and hitting 16 of 27 shots from 3-point range.

The Bearcats (3-9) did not make a field goal in the final 5:48 of the first half, a streak that extended in the first 5:05 of the second half.

During that nearly 11-minute stretch, Pitt transformed a 31-28 edge into a 67-34 blowout on the way to a season-high 103 points.

Pitt wasted little time grabbing the lead as Dunning finished an 8-0 run to start the game with two layups and a free throw. After Wes Peterson scored the first points for Binghamton, Cameron Corhen scored on a layup and Indrusaitis hit a 3-pointer while being fouled. He sank the free throw for a 4-point play and a 14-2 Pitt lead.

Binghamton went on a 7-0 run to close the gap and, when Blackburn hit a stepback 3-pointer with 5:48 left, Pitt's lead was down to 31-28. However, that would be the last field goal the Bearcats would score in the first half.

Cummings started the Pitt run with a jumper to make it 33-28. Indrusaitis and Damarco Minor hit 3-pointers and Dunning added back-to-back 3-pointers to make it a 14-0 run and a 45-28 lead with 2:24 left.

Lilley was able to stop the run with two free throws, but the Panthers fired right back with a Cummings 3-pointer and Indrusaitis scored on a layup for a 50-30 lead with 1:07 left.

The Panthers hit 70% of their shots from the field (19 of 27) and nailed 10-of-16 3-point attempts in the half.

After dominating on defense in the first half, the Panthers scored the first seven points of the second half to take a 33-point lead. Zyier Beverly finally ended the Bearcats field goal woes with a dunk with 14:55 left.
