Couple days back, the Boston Globe's Ben Volin posted the NFL's schedule of fines for the 2014 season, in two parts. It's below, in one part, because we are not afraid to be service-y.

It's interesting less for the hard dollar amounts than for the relative severity of the violations—hitting someone late, a legitimately dangerous move, is worth a pittance compared to fighting with another player or even just verbally abusing an official. Optics matter.

It's also neat to see what the league considers priceless. It's impossible for the league to quantify how badly its image is harmed by logo violations or by players throwing up gang signs.
