Reggie Jackson Attempts Desperation Shot With Four Full Seconds Left
Reggie Jackson hit a big three-pointer to bring the Thunder within two points of the Grizzlies just inside one minute to play. He then hit a floating layup to the tie the game at 80-80 with 30 seconds left. The score would stay at 80-80 and Oklahoma City and Memphis went to their third consecutive overtime because Reggie Jackson's brain stopped working and he heaved a three-quarter court shot with four seconds left in the game.
To be fair to Jackson, the last possession was definitely madcap. Limbs were flying everywhere, the ball was bouncing all over the rim, and into and out of hands. Somehow all those 16 seconds had to have elapsed, and yet they didn't. And Jackson, grabbing his head and crumpling to the ground, knew it immediately.
