Reports: Giants, Luis Arraez agree to 1-year, $12M deal

Mandatory Credit: Denis Poroy-Imagn Images Three-time batting champion Luis Arraez is joining the San Francisco Giants on a one-year, $12 million contract, per multiple media reports on Saturday.
Per MLB.com, Arraez will be the Giants' full-time second baseman, joining an infield that features third baseman Matt Chapman, shortstop Willy Adames and first baseman Rafael Devers.
Arraez, entering his age-29 season in 2026, won three straight batting titles with the Minnesota Twins (2022), Miami Marlins (2023) and San Diego Padres (2024). Over that three-year period, the three-time All-Star and two-time Silver Slugger led the majors in hits (576), hit .328 and struck out only 106 times.
Spanning seven seasons with the Twins, Marlins and Padres, the Venezuelan native is a .317 hitter with 169 doubles, 36 home runs and 308 RBIs in 840 games.
