Sergio Dipp Is Having A Night
Tonight was ESPN broadcaster Sergio Dipp’s first Monday Night Football sideline gig. Dipp—who has been with the network for several years, mainly with ESPN Deportes—offered one of the more charming sideline reports in a while with a 30-second job on new Broncos coach Vance Joseph:
“Well, folks, it’s a pleasure to be with you guys, here on the field, from up close, just watching Coach Vance Joseph from here,” Dipp started. “You watch him now on the screen.”
He seems to be taking the response—which, at least on Twitter, has varied from good-natured ribbing to less-good-natured mocking of his command of the language—in stride:
