Sharks acquire Ty Dellandrea, claim Barclay Goodrow off waivers

The San Jose Sharks acquired forward Ty Dellandrea from the Dallas Stars on Wednesday in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.
San Jose also claimed veteran forward Barclay Goodrow off waivers. The former Shark was placed on waivers by the New York Rangers on Tuesday.
Dellandrea, who turns 24 next month, is scheduled for restricted free agency this summer.
He recorded nine points (two goals, seven assists), 23 penalty minutes and a minus-10 rating in 42 games this season.
Dellandrea has totaled 42 points (14 goals, 28 assists) in 151 career games since being selected by Dallas with the 13th overall pick of the 2018 NHL Draft.
Goodrow, 31, tallied 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in 80 games during the 2023-24 regular season and added six goals and two assists in 16 games during the playoffs.
He signed a six-year, $21.85 million deal with the Rangers in July 2021, days after New York acquired him in a trade with Tampa Bay. San Jose will absorb his salary cap hit of $3.64 million in each of the next three seasons.
A two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Lightning, Goodrow has posted 169 points (60 goals, 109 assists) in 572 games with the Sharks (2014-20), Lightning (2020-21) and Rangers.
