SMU Player's House Burglarized By Prostitute He Refused To Pay
This happened way back in April, the night of the Mustangs' end-of-season banquet, but the police report is just surfacing now. Three SMU players returned to their off-campus home after the fancy dinner, only to find that someone had stolen $3,000 worth of laptops, televisions and video games. One of the players, sophomore linebacker Uchenna Nwabuike, thinks he had an idea of who was responsible:
Nwabuike told police he believed the person responsible for the thefts was an escort. The linebacker from Missouri City went on to tell authorities that he had, "made a deal with the suspect to have sex with her for $50."
In the police report, Nwabuike admitted that, "he did not pay the suspect for the acts that she performed" and left the woman in the home alone while the players attended the banquet.
I've got news for Uchenna. If she's only charging 50 bucks, she's not an escort. She's a hooker.
Police are still searching for the woman, and it seems unlikely Nwabuike would face any charges. Still, it's rather refreshing to see an SMU scandal where a player pays out of his own pocket, instead of getting a booster to do it for him.
