Spanish Police Throw Hands With Manchester City Fans

It’s hard to tell exactly who’s the aggressor here—the Manchester City fans visiting Real Madrid’s stadium for yesterday’s Champions League match, or the police who push and pull and punch them—but there’s definitely some scrapping going on, and it doesn’t look all that necessary.

Judging from the cameraman’s shouts of “Scum!” at police and the other anecdotes the Manchester Evening News from fellow Brits on site who reported mistreatment at the hands of the Spanish police present, it was the cops who instigated much of this kind of behavior at the stadium. Power-tripping police. Who would’ve thunk it.
