The protest of Racing Santander, in the third tier of Spanish soccer, was fairly attention-getting, as far as these things go. After kick-off of their Copa del Rey quarterfinal, players huddled arm-in-arm and refused to play, while coaches and substitutes did the same along the touchline.

Racing players say they haven't been paid, and had threatened to boycott this match if the club's board of directors didn't step down. That didn't happen. Real Sociedad awkwardly passed around for a bit before kicking it out for a throw-in, at which point the referee called the match a forfeit.
