Steelers QB Skylar Thompson robbed in Dublin

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Skylar Thompson was "jumped and robbed" Friday night in Dublin, the NFL Players Association acknowledged Sunday.
NFL Network reported the news shortly before the Steelers were set to face the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL's first game in the Ireland capital. Pittsburgh went on to post a 24-21 victory.
Thompson sustained minor injuries but is OK and with the team, NFL Network reported.
"We are aware of a situation involving Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin," a Steelers spokesman said, per NFL Network. "We will have no further comment at this time as we are working with NFL security to gather more information regarding the incident."
The NFLPA also released a statement on the matter, expressing relief that Thompson is well.
"The NFLPA is actively gathering more information and working to understand the full circumstances surrounding what took place. As always, our priority is the health and safety of our player members -- especially as we continue to work on player protections and well-being while playing international games -- and we will continue to support Skylar in any way he needs."
Thompson, 28, is on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. He has yet to play in a game during his first season with the Steelers.
He has completed 58.7 percent of his passes for 721 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions in 10 games (three starts) with the Miami Dolphins.
