The Bruins have traded Dougie Hamilton to the Calgary Flames for their 15th, 45th, and 52nd picks in tonight’s NHL Draft. Maybe new general manager Don Sweeney plans on using those picks to trade up, because right now, the swap doesn’t seem to benefit Boston. [Bruins]

The NHL, with a minimum of fuss, has re-weighted its draft lottery odds and changed the system for selecting the top three picks, in an obvious attempt to de-incentivize tanking. []
