The Best Player In Ohio Commits To Michigan

Remember this darling cherubic face, Ohioans, because he just decommitted from The University and committed to one in Michigan. You know the one. Kyle Kalis, a senior offensive tackle from Lakewood St. Edward in Cleveland, is the top prospect in Ohio, which was exciting when he was committed to Jim Tressel and the Buckeyes, which was the case until very recently:
A former Ohio State commitment under ex-coach Jim Tressel, the 6-foot-5, 302-pounder was among the most vocal supporters of sticking with his Buckeyes commitment. But as the tide turned and the NCAA allegations mounted, Kalis decommitted. Switching to Michigan is a major blow for OSU - Kalis is the highest-ranked recruit in U-M's 19-player 2012 class. Kalis is rated as Rivals.com's No. 4 offensive tackle prospect (U-M already has No. 8 in California's Erik Magnuson) and the No. 18th player overall.
According to BuckeyeGrove.com, Kalis is the No. 1 player in Ohio.
Reportedly, fellow Ohio-bred, Michigan-friendly Tom Strobel, a defensive lineman at Mentor High in Mentor, Ohio, convinced Kalis to join him in Ann Arbor. Governor John Kasich has not yet declared a state of emergency, but one more should do it. There must be something in the Applebees water down there.
