For those who couldn't make it out to Lake Elsinore, Calif., on June 30, you missed Tom Cruise Day at the ballpark, which included the giveaway of Tom Cruise Bobble-Couches to several thousand lucky fans by the Lake Elsinore Storm of the California League. This of course commemorates the actor's couch-bouncing antics on the Oprah Winfrey Show, in which he frightened many children and pets while expressing his love for Katie Holmes. It all has absolutely nothing to do with baseball, which is always the best way to run a promotion, actually.
