"The Teacher Tells Me When A Girls Squirts That's Not A Organism": Top Recruit's Twitter Gets Him Expelled
Yuri Wright, the seventh-best cornerback in the country according to Rivals.com, is finding his options curtailed. Michigan has reportedly dropped its pursuit, and Rutgers is reconsidering a campus visit. Oh, and he got kicked out of high school, so he needs to find somewhere to finish his senior year.
All because of his Twitter account. Not just a few choice Tweets, but a body of work dating back to the summer. His opus was sexist, racist, graphic, and offensive to the English language—in other words, typical teenage stuff. Maybe his sex ed teacher should be the one disciplined, because something clearly didn't make it through. But Don Bosco Prep, in Ramsey, N.J., is a Catholic school, so they can do pretty much whatever they want. (Also meaning Notre Dame probably won't keep up their recruitment much longer.) And coach Greg Toal says he warned players repeatedly about their use of social media.
ChatSports has the definitive collection of Yuri Wright's musings on the world. His Twitter account has since been deleted, meaning—you guessed it— he's perfect for Ohio State.
