This Song About Being A Good Fan Is The Best Thing At The Olympics
During breaks at the Olympic venues, they’ve been playing over the PA a peppy, bilingual song to the tune of “We Will Rock You.” It encourages fans to clean up after themselves, not to smoke, not to take flash photography, and to just generally be good, constructive human beings. I co-sign the message of “Let’s Get Into It.”
SB Nation’s Roger Sherman discovered the wonderful thing at the diving venue today, and while it’s got tough competition, I think my favorite verse is the one that goes “Welcome to Rio, 2016/Thank you all for coming-ing.”
At the top of this post, you’ll find what is, I guess, the official live performance of “Let’s Get Into It,” by Brazilian singer and TV personality Bianca Jhordão, and some very game dancers. Bianca is wearing a walking boot. She may have gotten too into it.
