Three-time world champ Israel Vazquez dies at 46

Three-time boxing world champion Israel Vazquez of Mexico died at 46 after a battle with cancer.
WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman announced the fighter's passing on Tuesday.
"Israel is finally resting in peace. May God provide his family with strength we extend all the support to his wife Laura, his kids, family and friends during this difficult time," Sulaiman posted on social media. "Thanks champion for leaving a special footprint. You will always be "El Magnifico.'"
Vazquez compiled a professional record of 44-5 with 32 wins by knockout from 1995 through 2010.
He is best remembered for splitting a series of four fights with countryman Rafael Marquez from 2007-10.
Vazquez won the IBF super bantamweight title in 2004 and added the WBC and The Ring super bantamweight belts in 2005.
