Torrey Smith Makes Diving Touchdown Catch
Torrey Smith's brother passed away early Sunday morning following a motorcycle crash. Smith left the team hours later, but told John Harbaugh he wanted to play. True to his word, Torrey returned for the game and made a diving catch in the back corner of the end zone five minutes into the second quarter. A flag was initially thrown leading to speculation that it would be waved off for offensive interference. The referees conferred and picked up the flag.
After securing the catch, Smith took a moment on his knee and gave the ball to an official before returning to the bench, where he was embraced by teammates and coaches. [NBC]
