UEFA Rudely Fines Besiktas For Delightful Cat On Pitch

Yesterday’s Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Besiktas experienced a brief interruption in the second half, courtesy of a friendly little kitty-cat scampering onto the pitch:

Unfortunately for Besiktas—who lost, 3-1—the club now faces punishment for welcoming the adorable cat into its home. UEFA considered the feline’s presence proof of “insufficient organization,” and slapped Besiktas with a fine.

A mistake. Hosting a cat is proof of a more sufficient organization, not an insufficient one. Alas.
