Unemployed Wide Receiver: If I Was LeBron, I'd Be An Employed Wide Receiver

Illustration for article titled Unemployed Wide Receiver: If I Was LeBron, Id Be An Employed Wide Receiver

Let's be honest: Cleveland wasn't The Decision's biggest victim. Terrell Owens was. Don't believe me? Just interrupt Terrell Owens from his driveway sit-ups regimen and ask Terrell Owens yourself. That's what 104.5 The Zone radio in Nashville did the other day. For its 3 Hour Lunch.

Asked whether he'll get an hour-long special when/if an in-fear-of-local-blackouts franchise begrudgingly extends its hand, Terrell Owens said, "Um, no."

"Even though I may do 99 good things right and if I do one thing wrong, um, you know, ESPN and the people on there is gonna make it out to be the worst thing ever," Terrell Owens said. Having tried to "turn over a new leaf" in recent years, "they just won't let go of the past."

Poor Terrell Owens is then compared to poor lil Lane Kiffin. Kindred souls, indeed.

Continued Terrell Owens, "It's frustrating and disheartening at the same time, especially when you have, uh, players who have played this game and there are people on the panels now that have had, you know, probably equal or less reputations as I've had as a receiver and they go on and make those remarks."

Ok, then.

Other highlights:

- Finding love via reality television is "still a work in progress."
- Terrell Owens just finished filming a comedy with "a nice cast" (of names I didn't recognize). In it, he has his first on camera "make-out scene." Joy!!!
- Terrell Owens refuses to say anything bad about his QBs in Buffalo because "this interview would be on ESPN in 30 minutes."
- But "at the end of the day, I know God has a place for me."

If you have spare soul that you want to kill, and are fluent in Terrell Owens jibber-jabber here's a link to the podcast. Learn it. Know it. Live it.
