Vancouver Canucks Tweet About That Time They Didn't Win The Stanley Cup, Infuriate Their Fans

In an attempt at Canadian camaraderie, the Vancouver Canucks tweeted well wishes to the Toronto Blue Jays in the playoffs. They also pissed off a bunch of their fans.

The Blue Jays are playing the Texas Rangers. The Canucks lost in the 1994 Stanley Cup Finals to the New York Rangers. To make sure everyone understood the reference, the Canucks attached a photo of the Rangers celebrating:

For context, imagine if the Cubs sent out “When you see bae at the club but she didn’t return your text” with a photo of Steve Bartman the moment after he reached for Luis Castillo’s foul ball.

Canucks fans were not amused:
