Vin Scully has a knack for making anything significantly better with his voice, so it was no surprise that Scully effortlessly worked in some lovely memories of the late Don Zimmer while calling tonight's White Sox-Dodgers game.

Scully ranks Zimmer as the "most beloved Dodger amongst his teammates," telling stories of Zimmer as a player, still in the dugout while recovering from a baseball to the face, because his teammates loved him that much. Without spoiling too much, the final anecdote involves Scully and a note from Zimmer, when he was manager of the Cubs.
