Vladimir Radmanovic: Good At Telling The Truth, Lousy At Snowboarding
This is so cute. Lakers forward Vladimir Radmanovic going to miss about eight weeks of action because of a separated shoulder, an injury he attributed to slipping on some ice. That wasn't the truth, though. And the nagging pangs of guilt brought on by his dishonesty finally got to be too much for him, and VladRad came clean yesterday.
"First of all I'd like to apologize to my teammates, coaches, Lakers management and Lakers fans for initially lying about the circumstances of the injury to my shoulder last weekend. I'd like to, however, come forward and set the record straight at this time. The truth is that I hurt myself in a fall while snowboarding. Being young and sometimes immature, I initially panicked and made up a false story about how I hurt myself. However, over the past few days my conscience has been bothering me terribly. I am not a dishonest person and could no longer live with this deception.
Awwwww. Big man-hugs go out to that big, feathered-hair, no-defense-playing, cannot-tell-a-lie son of a bitch.
I think it's so cute how Vladimir assumes that 1) anyone believe the "I fell on some ice" story to begin with, and 2) that anyone really cares. It's just part of the risk a team assumes when employing Radmanovic. This is a guy that Phil Jackson called a "space cadet" earlier this season... the only thing surprising about Vlad hurting himself while snowboarding is that he didn't hurt himself climbing a tree looking for evidence of a Sasquatch.
