Washington Wizards Have Brand New Jerseys, Hopefully A Brand New Game
The Washington Wizards unveiled their Bullets- and nation-inspired new logos and uniforms in D.C. today. They're red, white, and blue, because of America, which team president Ernie Grunfeld says "our players love... It's appropriate that the Wizards, Mystics and Capitals now share their colors and the goal of bringing a championship to Washington, DC." We wish them the best.
Tipster Andy suggests that the new logo is a "giant hand dong," while the alternate logo looks like "the Washington Monument is about to sodomize a basketball." We're not really seeing the likeness, partly because we don't want to, and partly because we actually think this is a great improvement on the old look.
On that note, it's probably about time the organization bump down the price on this kid's retro Arenas jersey, to, say, zero dollars.
