Here's your daily link to Dave McKenna's brilliant "Cranky Redskins Fan's Guide to Dan Snyder," which we'll be posting until Snyder's dumbass libel suit becomes food for worms. Today's entry comes to you from Washington Post columnist Mark Maske's book War Without Death: A Year of Extreme Competition in Pro Football's NFC East, wherein we learn a thing or two about Snyder's father, who died in 2003:

Gerald Snyder had been a journalist who once worked for United Press International and wrote book and freelance magazine pieces for publications that included National Geographic. He and his wife Arlette lived modestly for most of their lives and were everything their son wasn't — quiet, gentle, unassuming, and unfailingly polite.

What would Pere Snyder think about his son's attempt to crap all over the First Amendment? Food for worms, we'd wager.
