Wladimir Klitschko Defended His World Heavyweight Title With A Brutal Beatdown Of Jean Marc Mormeck
Four-belt heavyweight title-holder Wladimir Klitchko demolished Jean Marc Mormeck at tonight's bout in Düsseldorf, putting the Frenchman out of his misery with a fourth-round knockout.
It was Wlad's 50th career KO, advancing him past Joe Louis and Jack Dempsey on the all-time rankings, and it probably could have come even earlier in the fight. Mormeck seemed to have little interest in actually boxing, and only threw 19 punches in the bout—landing three of them. It was Klitschko's first fight since last year's snooze-fest against David Haye, and reminded us all again that the two best heavyweights on Earth won't fight each other because they don't want to upset their mother.
