The C-Roll Stash, Part 1: Sex Above The SkyDome (NSFW)

Here's Part One of the C-Roll excerpts we'll be posting all week. Today, you'll see the infamous Lucy Lawless boob slip (from her national anthem at a May 1997 NHL game in Anaheim), an unidentified boob slip, and some sex above the SkyDome during a Red Sox-Jays game.

The SkyDome sex was a recurring problem, thanks to persistent guests of the Renaissance Hotel—the room windows looked right out onto the field. From an undated Slam! Sports article:

Since it opened in 1989, there have been at least three incidents at the hotel where couples were having sex in plain view of tens of thousands of fans, as well as one incident when a man was thrown out of the hotel for masturbating at the window, believing it was one-way glass.

"We have a unique product here. Obviously, in hotel rooms around the world, who knows what happens. But here, it's kind of like a fishbowl," [Dan, director of operations for Renaissance] Woodburn said.

For stats nuts, the Blue Jays are 2-3 when hotel guests are caught getting naked or getting it on.

Some more digging led us to this nugget, from a Faniq post documenting debauchery at the SkyDome:

May 1996 - At a Jays-Red Sox game attended by 31,000 fans, a couple puts on what reporters dubbed a "20-minute sex show." Hotel staff consider making waivers more explicit, and even installing one-way glass in the diamond-side rooms.

In this clip, the announcer—sounding distracted—says that the Sox had blown a 7-3 lead. That leads us to an 8-7 Toronto win on May 12, 1996: the day the SkyDome was won.
