49ers Fan Ran Onto Field, Allegedly Tried To Headbutt And Spit At Security
Obviously, don’t charge onto the field. It disrupts the game, and you’re going to get hit with trespassing and a lifetime ban. But if you charge onto the field, definitely don’t try to assault the security members who drag you out. They’re not going to let that one go.
David Atwood, 25, from Connecticut, and apparently a 49ers fan given his jersey, ran onto the field in the third quarter of last night’s Giants win. When he was taken off, as these fan-shot videos show, he apparently attempted to headbutt security. They ended up literally carrying him off.
Atwood has been charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, obstruction, and “fourth-degree throwing of bodily fluids,” apparently because he spit at security.
Atwood, who has a court hearing tomorrow, was released into the custody of his mother, who was at the game with him.
