NBA Best Bets Today: Top Betting Picks for Monday March 30th
The 10-team fields for each conference playoffs bracket are set, but with 7-8 games in the regular season, teams can still battle for position.
To keep it a bit more interesting, we’ll focus on games with potential playoff implications in our NBA Best Bets for Monday, March 30.
Let’s begin with the Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami Heat:
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami Heat
76ers -2 at -110 (bet365)
Miami beat Philadelphia back in November by ten points, 127-117. But Tyrese Maxcey is back in the lineup along with Joel Embiid, Paul George, and VJ Edgecombe, and the 76ers are back to having one of the most dangerous lineups in the NBA.
The Heat are facing them on the back half of a back-to-back after a humiliating loss to the Pacers, 135-118, their seventh loss in their last eight games. With Philly trending one way and the Heat trending in opposite directions, I’m a little surprised that the spread is only two points.
With their offensive weapons back in the lineup, there is no way the Heat keep it within a basket.

Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta -1 at -110 (Caesars)
With only a 0.5-game lead over the 76ers and keeping them out of the play-in, the Hawks definitely need a win more than the Celtics (who have secured a playoff spot). Boston just beat them on Friday at home, 109-102, a game Atlanta led by five at the half.
Boston is playing well right now, winners of their last three. But the Hawks are arguably the hottest team in the NBA with wins in 15 of their last 17 games. The Celtics have been a solid road team this season (24-13), but with the playoffs looming, they’ll probably continue to sit Jaylen Brown and Derrick White (both listed as GTD).
Without those two in the lineup against this red-hot Atlanta squad, I have to go with the Hawks.

Detroit Pistons vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Possible NBA Finals preview? Not exactly. When these teams met last month in Detroit, the Thunder were without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander while the Pistons had their stars in the lineup. It was still a competitive game, but one Detroit won 124-116.
But this time, it will be the Pistons who are down star power, as Cade Cunningham remains out due to a health issue. Jalen Duren is listed as a GTD but is doubtful to play. Detroit has been surprisingly competitive without Cunningham (5-1), but they haven’t been playing anyone like OKC.
My Pick: Pistons +13.5 at -106 (FanDuel)
I expect the Thunder to win this game, but they have done a terrible job ATS lately, going 3-7 in their last ten games. They have not been great when favored by double digits, covering in just three of the last nine such games.
