Survival Of The Fastest At Citi Field, As Man Robs Kid Of Foul Ball
We're finding it hard not to sympathize with the guy on this one, because we've never caught a ball of our own. Still, we're always up for a public shaming.
David Wright, as players are wont to do, softly lobbed a dead ball toward 10-year-old Ethan Edelman. In swooped Mike Terry, who showed impressive extension in snatching the ball just as it was about to hit Edelman's glove.
This one's got a happy ending, at least. Terry, no monster, gave the ball to his 3-year-old son (who, being younger, has a better claim on it than Edelman.) Wright saw what happened, and next inning, brought balls for both kids. David Wright's balls for everybody!
