Aces say A’ja Wilson has sprained wrist, no timetable for return

Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson suffered a sprained right wrist when she fell to the floor Tuesday against the New York Liberty.
Aces coach Becky Hammon, speaking before the Aces played the host Washington Mystics on Thursday, said the team was glad to learn nothing was broken. She did not have a timetable for Wilson to return.
Wilson was seen at the Aces' pregame shootaround wearing a brace on her wrist.
The three-time and reigning WNBA Most Valuable Player is averaging 20.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.4 blocked shots and 1.7 steals through 16 games. She also missed three games while in concussion protocol earlier this year.
Wilson was injured with 4:13 left in the second quarter of the Aces' eventual 87-78 loss to New York. She drove to the hoop and was fouled by Leonie Fiebich, and Wilson put out both her hands trying to break her fall.
She stayed in the game for a short time before leaving before halftime.
