Alex Burrows Suspended 10 Games For Kneeing Taylor Hall In The Head
Nils Petter Nilsson/Getty Images Ottawa Senators forward/pest/ piece of crap Alexandre Burrows has been suspended for 10 games by the NHL’s Department of Player Safety, and 10 games still feels like he got off kind of easily.
During Tuesday’s game against the Devils, Burrows reacted to a big hit from Taylor Hall by wrestling Hall to the ice and twice kneeing him in the back of the head:
Burrows had a phone hearing on Wednesday (he declined an in-person hearing), and is reportedly considering appealing his suspension. If he does serve the full 10 games, he’ll forfeit $134,408.60 in salary.
