On one hand, you have to admire the Czech Republic World Junior team for their fierce commitment to getting in their practice reps. On the other, I’m terrified of their blatant disregard for human life, as seen when a Buffalo arena worker was still in the net as the team took the ice, and the young prospects just did not care.
While at least a couple of Czech players held up when they realized there was a trembling body crouched in their path, others had no such mercy. Even when the worker took the nets off their moorings, some didn’t let up on the assault. And as he left the ice on the Sweden side, he still couldn’t escape danger, taking one to the shoulder just before reaching safety.
Someone give this guy a raise.
