A's Will Not Burden Fans By Asking Them To Buy Tickets For Game Against White Sox
Photo Credit: Marcio Jose Sanchez/ [object Object] Along with the rest of Major League Baseball, the A’s announced their tentative 2018 schedule today. That includes a partial list of promotions—many of them geared towards celebrating the team’s 50th anniversary in Oakland—and a very special one on April 17 means that fans will be able to see that day’s game for free. No tickets! Wow!
Upon closer examination, however, it becomes apparent that this is not so much a promotion as a humanitarian service for fans, as that day’s game is against the White Sox and asking innocent people to pay for their chance to watch would simply be too much.
