Austin Riley hit a pair of two-run home runs and the Atlanta Braves hung on to beat the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 on Sunday and avoid a three-game sweep.
The victory was Atlanta's first in six games against the Dodgers this season and ended LA's seven-game winning streak.
It was the eighth multi-homer game of Riley's career. He hit a pair in an 8-4 road victory against the Toronto Blue Jays on April 14. The third baseman has a club-best eight homers.
Atlanta starter Bryce Elder (2-1) posted his third straight solid outing. The right-hander pitched five innings and left after allowing a walk and hit to open the sixth. He allowed two runs on four hits, two walks and six strikeouts in the game.
Daysbel Hernandez threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief and Raisel Iglesias struck out the side in the ninth to earn his sixth save.
Iglesias allowed a leadoff infield single to Andy Pages and pinch runner Hyeseong Kim reached third base with one out, but Miguel Rojas and Austin Barnes struck out to end the game.
Dodgers starter Dustin May (1-2) worked 5 2/3 innings and allowed four runs on five hits, two walks and six strikeouts. He surrendered both of Riley's home runs.
Riley gave the Braves an early 4-0 lead with the longball. His first homer came in the opening inning after Alex Verdugo drew a leadoff walk. Riley slammed a sweeper 426 feet into the left field stands.
Riley's second homer came in the third inning after Verdugo's leadoff single. He connected with another sweeper for a 416-foot homer to center field.
The Dodgers scored once in the fourth on Max Muncy's RBI double into the right field corner, then added another in the sixth on Muncy's infield grounder.
Los Angeles cut the lead to 3-2 with a run in the seventh on a pinch-hit homer by Rojas, his first, against reliever Dylan Lee.
The Dodgers continue their 10-game road trip on Monday with a three-game series in Miami. The Braves open a four-game homestand on Monday against Cincinnati.
