Barry Bonds Keeps The Homeland Safe
This image was lost some time after publication. Well, the regular season is over, which means we have to say goodbye to one of our favorite features: Checking in on Barry Bonds' journal at BarryBonds.com. We love how Barry does "shoutouts" to his corporate sponsors, gives detailed updates on his "rehab" that tend to involve "dropping some weight" in the offseason and, our favorite, some good old-fashion name-dropping. (The best was the time he raved about the fact that Michael Bolton showed up at his 40th birthday party. We'd probably rave about that too.)
Anyway, in today's entry, most likely the last for a few months, Bonds terrifies us by telling of a meeting with ... Donald Rumsfeld?
They have all sorts of stores, banks and medical offices in the building so you dont have to leave to get your personal business taken care of. I had the pleasure of meeting General Myers, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Vice Chairman as well as our Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld.
We're not saying that Bonds had an ulterior motive to be there, but Jeff Kent just got audited and can't check out library books anymore.
