Before We Get To London, Let's Pause To Remember The 2012 New York Olympics

Today would have been the day the New York Olympics would have started!

The video above was part of New York's bid at shoehorning the 2012 Olympics into a sprawling, densely populated city, which Mike Bloomberg said would have worked out fine. The opening ceremony would have taken place at the Jets new stadium on the West Side of Manhattan and Giants Stadium would host soccer. Neither of those buildings exist.
