Ben Roethlisberger Didn't Pay Much To Settle The Lawsuit Against Him

When former Harrah's Lake Tahoe hostess Andrea McNulty settled her sexual assault lawsuit against Ben Roethlisberger, everyone presumed that money changed hands. Both sides were mum, likely bound by a confidentiality agreement, but it seems the NFL is under no such gag order. Pro Football Talk cites a league source that reports the settlement amount was "less than a game check."

That's anywhere up to mid-six figures, so it might not be insignificant to McNulty. But it's an afterthought for Roethlisberger, especially in exchange for not having any more legal issues hanging over his head. Without getting into the merits of the case or of either side's willingness to settle, it's probably safe to just say that both parties will benefit from the other never mentioning this again.
