Broncos give DL Zach Allen 4-year, $102M extension

Mandatory Credit: Katie Stratman-Imagn Images The Broncos and defensive lineman Zach Allen are in agreement on a four-year contract extension that keeps him in Denver through the 2029 season, the team announced Saturday.
The Broncos did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement, but according to multiple reports, the extension is worth $102 million, including $69.5 million in guaranteed money.
Allen, a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Cardinals, played his first four seasons in Arizona before signing a three-year, $47.75 million free-agent contract with Denver before the 2023 season. He was due to become a free agent after the upcoming season.
He turns 28 this month.
With the Broncos, he has appeared in 33 games (all starts) and tallied 121 tackles (23 for loss), 64 quarterback hits and 13.5 sacks.
In 78 career games (68 starts), he has 259 tackles (44 for loss), 107 QB hits, 25 sacks, one interception, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.
The Broncos have been on a spending spree this week.
On Monday, the team confirmed it had agreed to a four-year extension with wide receiver Courtland Sutton. Multiple reports pegged the value at $92 million.
