Browns Solve One Of Their Many Problems
The Cleveland Browns announced today that they have released Johnny Manziel, after reports in February claimed the team would waive the quarterback in March.
The 23-year-old is a free agent, but his legal trouble is a more pressing issue than his current unemployment. Manziel allegedly hit ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley several times in January; Crowley asked for a restraining order against him as Dallas police opened a criminal investigation into the incident. In February, the department referred the case to a grand jury.
