Mandatory Credit: Jeff Hanisch-Imagn Images Damian Lillard scored 28 points and dished eight assists to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 120-113 victory over the visiting Miami Heat.
Giannis Antetokounmpo collected 23 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists, and Brook Lopez scored 17 points as the Bucks won their fourth straight game and fifth in their last six.
Tyler Herro, a native of the Milwaukee suburb of Greenfield, tied a season high with 40 points to go along with 11 assists for Miami. Bam Adebayo added 24 points and seven rebounds, and Andrew Wiggins had 20 points.
Miami went on a 20-5 run, including a 14-1 burst within it, to take a 37-23 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Despite Lillard scoring nine points in a row for the Bucks near the end of the half, Wiggins made a layup and Herro converted a three-point play in the final five seconds and helped Miami take a 65-55 lead at the break.
Herro had 19 at the half, with Wiggins adding 15. Lillard led Milwaukee with 15, while Gary Trent Jr. came off the bench to add 13.
Miami maintained its lead for much of the third quarter despite Milwaukee drawing within two with a 9-0 run.
The Heat responded to that run with a 6-0 run of their own and went into the fourth with a 93-85 edge.
The Bucks then got a surge off the bench. Recently acquired Kevin Porter Jr. went on a personal 7-0 run, then lobbed a pass up to Jericho Sims for the slam to give the Bucks a 97-95 lead, their first since the opening quarter.
The teams went back and forth until Milwaukee was able to rattle off another 7-0 run to take a 116-109 lead with about two minutes to play. Buckets from Lillard and Antetokounmpo sealed the game.
Milwaukee has taken all three games against Miami this season with one more matchup slated in April.
